When is the creation period going to be?The creation period will be from March through May, with extensions being granted to those who may need some more time to work on their piece.How long after the submission period ends will we know who was selected for the zine?After applications close, we will take two weeks to go through all of them, so the results of it should come out after that period, but if we need more time, we will announce it.Are there any specific qualities that you are looking for in the writing submissions that will make or break an application?In terms of writing, other than using AI, stealing work, or otherwise not following our guidelines, there isn’t much that would “make or break” an application for us. In terms of content or quality, it’s difficult to answer that directly as our Jury process for applicants is a numbering based and averaging system between every mod, and every mod as their own personal feelings and criteria for it. For example a writing style that is heavily prose based, could not resonate with Mod A, and they’d rank lower, but Mod B loves prose and would rank higher. There is nothing wrong with the style regardless, it’s just how our process works to best create fairness for both the team and our applicants.What is the best way to submit a written sample? Should it include the fic's name, tags or archive warnings?Anything works, so long as it’s accessible, and warnings are noted.When it comes to what samples to send in for a page artist application, would you prefer someone to send you work that might fit the different moods of the Grey Warden tenets, or to focus on one of them?When it comes to artist applications, we’d prefer you send us what you consider your best work. If it fits the themes, that’s great, but it’s not a requirement!How are themes / characters / topic assignments going to look like?We will assign an oath line (In war, victory; in peace, vigilance; in death, sacrifice) and a game / media but we won’t assign characters, and we will pick from 2 or 3 pitches made by the contributor.We will pick from pitches after all contributors are onboarded to be fair and ensure equal representation of all characters and games/media for the franchise.How will merch manufacturing be handled?We’ll be handling manufacturing with a mix of US and Chinese companies, and we will be shipping from the US.What is the zine’s stance on AI?We will not be using AI on the creation of this zine. If you are found to be using AI in the submission for the zine and/or have used it for works you posted in the past, you will be immediately removed from the project and have all work thrown out.

We plan to produce a fully realized artbook with illustrations, writing, and accompanying physical merchandise with digital options. It will feature the Grey Wardens and related material from all four Dragon Age games.We will also be putting together a digital-only mini side-zine centered around ships!This zine will feature three different sections corresponding to each part of the Grey Warden motto:
